Choosing the Right Diet

Every year, a new diet hits the market. There are typically several trending diets to choose from. Some are really good diet plans; others, not so much. Some of them might have worked really well for your friends, but not so good for you. Just like every individual is unique, so is every diet.

1. Paleo – This diet consists of lean meats, seafood, fruits and non-starchy vegetables, nuts, seeds, eggs, and plant-based oils. You will more likely feel full more often because you intake more proteins and fat. The downside to this diet is that it can be a little on the pricey side.

2. Keto – Perhaps the newest diet craze is Keto. It is a low carb, high fat diet. The idea is to reduce the intake of carbs so much, that your body goes into ketosis. During ketosis, your body burns immense amounts of energy. This particular diet has become popular because you are very rarely hungry when you are on it.

3. Vegan – The vegan is a plant-based diet. This particular diet catches a lot of flak for its lack of meat and animal byproducts such as honey, milk, and eggs. The upside to this diet is that it promotes weight loss. The downside is that the results could backfire on you instead, resulting in excessive weight gain instead. It’s usually a good idea to ease your way into a vegan diet to avoid this from happening.

As with any new diet regimen, you should talk with a nutritionist or doctor so that they can help you pick the one that is right for you. Everybody is different. It is important that you pay attention to your body and do what it is telling you to do.
